EMARI Assistant Regional Director

Candidate for Elected position of Assistant Regional Director for the EMARI Region

I joined the National Ski Patrol in 1981 in the central division (Michigan). I moved to Rhode Island, where I patrolled at the Klein Innsbruck Ski Patrol in Franklin, MA from 1987 – 1989. In 1989 when Klein Innsbruck closed I transferred to Yawgoo Valley Ski Patrol, and I have remained and active member to the present, for a total of 30 years of patrolling experience. I am a Senior Alpine patroller, OEC, and Ski and Toboggan instructor, and in 2004 I became an OEC Instructor Trainer, so I am involved with the OEC program.

The EMARI region has some amazing people and I will be privileged to serve the needs of the members, in the “southern” part of the region. I have attended the annual Divisional meeting in Albany for three years now, and last year I chaired the “Section Chief” meeting for the division. I will represent the interests of the EMARI region, and work to bring programs and events to the EMARI patroller like the “EMARI Weekend at Black Mountain NH” which I organize.

Thank you,
Mike Seward
