The EMARI Alumni had another spectacular day for meeting and skiing at Wachusett Mountain on our Special Day – Monday, Feb. 1st. Some of our regulars were missing but we added two new members – both from Yawgoo Valley. We always wish that more of our members would take advantage of the generous offer of FREE SKIING and LUNCH at Wachusett.

As another special event for our EMARI Alums, Black Mountain in Jackson, N.H. has extended a gracious invitation to join them in their Family event on Saturday and Sunday, March 13th and 14th for free skiing for Alumni and their direct family members. The National Board is attempting to form a stronger Alumni Program and has appointed a new Alumni Advisor, Josie Elting from the Pacific Northwest Region. Our Eastern Regional Coordinator, Al Pels, has reported that of the approximately 1200 Alumni members 800 are from the Eastern Region.Let’s work toward keeping those numbers growing. Inform your friends who have retired from Patrolling of the benefits of being an Alumni – all publications, both National and Regional and catalogs with discounts, support for Educational and Memorial Funds, opportunities to help your local Ski Area and its Patrol, and a chance at our Special Day to meet and ski with familiar names and faces.
